Received verbal offer but then job was reposted on the company’s website and LinkedIn

I recently received a verbal job offer for a junior position at a big global bank and the HR informed me that they would send out the offer letter in a couple of days (once it’s been all approved and signed off on).

However, yesterday evening, I noticed that the position that they had offered me was reposted on both the company’s site as well as on LinkedIn.

Is it likely that my offer is being rescinded or they are trying to find another candidate for the position? Should I be worried about out this?

Given the amount of fucked up shit I have seen in recruiting, I’d start networking hard.

You might still get an offer, but never let go of the gas. Have seen signed offers rescinded.

Coming from someone who has had 2 verbal offers yanked and 2 written offers yanked (one was onset of Covid, so justifiable Ig).

Some idiot who hasn’t been hit by life MS’ed this as inaccurate.

For what it's worth, I also just received a verbal offer and they let me know they had to post the job once again online due to regulatory requirements. So personally wouldn't worry about it, but like the other commenter said definitely keep applying and interviewing.

Op here. So, I just received the formal offer letter from the bank this Monday but the job post is still on the company website (was reposted last Friday).

Given that I have now received the formal offer letter, would you say the offer should be safe now? For additional context, the position that i was offered and the position that was reposted had the same job title / coverage team but I noticed that the job requisition ID is different and some of the job description is also different.

It might be cause for concern or it could’ve automatically renewed. How old is the old posting? I’ve had the same happen to me in the past and it was just timing on their posting renewals, obviously depends on how big the org is.
