Recruiting for IB SA'22 in the Summer between Undergrad and MSF

After some very hard work, I recently improved my GPA and resume to such a place that I've developed into a competitive candidate for investment banking, but I reached this position only after SA'21 had recruited. I'm looking to land an SA'22 role for the summer between undergrad and a one-year MSF, likely at a strong school.

In my research on the topic, there's a big grey area in being able to land a competitive position at a reputable investment bank (don't require BB/EB prospects, but would be nice) in this given circumstance. Some firms allow it but dont specifically mention it, which makes the research more difficult.

With this new environment, I'd love to hear what all your thoughts are on some great prospects to pursue, best practices, and any general advice you have for this situation!
