Recruiting FT | How's the market doing?

Title.

Have to recruit full-time as a first semester senior due to unforeseen circumstances. Not necessarily interested exclusively in investment banking as I have prior internships in other facets of finance. 

What is the general consensus of how the FT recruiting market these days?

Should I cast a wide net and shoot for both IB and all other vaguely finance-related roles I can get my hand on?
