Current renewables banker. The best way to learn is by reading up on recent transactions. The space is pretty new still so it doesn’t have strict yes or no answers to technicals that you may see in more mature coverage groups. When asked a question saying something like “In xyz transaction they did xyz which I think makes the most sense because of xyz. Another transaction would be xyz where they did xyz and that didn’t seem to generate the same attractive result”
It’s like tech to a degree honestly. When you start getting into world changing/highly innovative industries then it’s really about compiling the past and stringing together a coherent story. Much more thought process type questions than black and white answer questions.
