Research Assistant - Central Bank
I got a job offer for a research assistant position at the Bank of Canada. Basically, I would be analyzing data that would be used to make policy decisions by the bank. They would expect me to go to grad school for a master's or PhD in economics after a year.
I was wondering if this would position me well for high finance in the future, or if it will doom me to a life of academia and civil service.
