Have gotten an offer when I didn’t get a response so don’t think it matters

I always make sure to send out very personalized thank you notes to my interviewers. That being said, one year I didn't get any response but still got an offer, while this year I received a few responses and got an offer from them. In my opinion reading the content of the note is a more valuable insight into your odds than strictly receiving a response or not.

Anecdotal and small sample size, but I had three interviews last week and converted one.

Bank 1 - rejected

2 thank yous, no reply to either

Bank 2 - rejected

first round - 2 thank yous, 2 positive replies

superday - 4 thank yous, one basic reply

Bank 3 - got offer and accepted

3 thank yous, one basic reply and one positive reply

Weak correlation but partially indicative of how it went
