Search Fund Internship?
I am a current sophomore at a non-target. I interned at a Business Valuation firm last summer. Is it worth taking an off-cycle Search Fund Internship for the spring? Would be flexible hours but I don’t know if it will really boost my resume that much. I will be in equity research this summer and I plan on breaking into IB/PE. Any advice will help.
It really depends. Some of them are complete shit and will be a total waste of your time. Others can provide some solid experience. I’d say pay attention to what stage they’re at (are they still sourcing heavy or do they have a target/close to closing?). Also make sure you’re familiar with the founder and their background.
From how it sounded they are still sourcing but have gotten some responses from business owners. The guy said I would be doing financial modeling
