Non-target lateral analyst here. Got riffed recently. Have prior experience in TMT banking before my most recent role and trying to continue down that path.
Having trouble getting responses in my cold emails. I don't have a lot of alumni in these banks so looking for ways to differentiate myself.
Would I be a tool if I sent a 3-statment model of a public media / tech company that I created in a cold email?
I feel like there's conflicting signals on here. Like show your passionate / have an interest but at the same time don't be too much of a hardo. I've tried the whole thing of finding obscure interests in their LinkedIn bio, but can't help but feel its coming off as naïve or forced.
