Shameless Post> Looking for an IB firm with deal flow that is willing to take a shot on a Y2 SMU student with past M&A exp.

Hi Monkeys =),

It's Intern season, and this is a shameless advertisement of me.

About me:I have worked on 2 live deals and ongoing with previous internship in Private Equity and a part time role in a Quant fund.

Why I am interested in M&A: When I was young I was sad that everything was made and thought to myself that everything has already been invented and I couldn't create anything in this world. However on my last internship I got to see greenfield investments and people try and create new industries within the M&A space and thought to myself, that despite the hours, both the deal process and working on companies can actually lead to something new that someone hasn't created. And I thought to myself, that maybe creating something in this world or working on M&A deals can lead to synergies and value up initiatives that lead to a tangible business model.

What I can offer: I would make your life easier. I am highly proficient in excel and powerpoint and pick up things easily. I bring a good attitude to the workplace and am willing to work long hours. I always put the firms interests before mine.

What I hope to obtain: An investment banking internship / private equity in the M&A space or growth equity where I can work on live deals.

I understand that most firms seek penultimate students and that my resume is filtered in round 1, but if you are willing to give me an interview shot I promise I will try my best.

Available period:Jan-August 2025 GPA: 3.54/4.0, Cum Laude School: SMU Country: Singapore.

Update:GPA increased to 3.74/4.0, broke into MM PE than boutique IB.gonna try for BB and EB for summer 26
