Should I quit wasting energy as a non target. Am I cooked?

I am a state school non target (think like UConn) student with (for a non target) decent qualities applying for SA 2026. 4.0, School Investment Group, Large Organization President, One unrelated somewhat finance internship, one finance internship and a few other small things and projects. The problem is my networking sucks (maybe I just do) I have now counted and I am up to around 750 emails sent, I know I need some more and I'm planning on it, but I have only gotten on the phone with like 7 people, 2 of which are out of IB and the other 5 the conversation and follow up seems there is no referral coming. I am networking like hell and it seems nothing is coming from it. Will I even get first rounds or am I just cooked and should save my energy for other things? Does anyone have networking advice other than sending 50 emails a day? I am trying and in discussion for a local tiny boutique M&A internship for this upcoming semester, how much would this help or am I still cooked?
