Should I reveal high school disciplinary action?

I've accepted an internship offer and they are asking me if I have ever received disciplinary action during my academic studies. Should I reveal a high school suspension due to underage drinking (boarding school) or will the background check even go there? Will they even care about this (it's prop trading)?

I wouldn't be super worried about it. That information is on your permanent record for your high school. If you weren't arrested, they shouldn't have access to that. See this link: http://education-law.lawyers.com/school-law/does-my-child-have-a-perman…

Looks like only a state or federal entity can have access to that record, or the child/guardian of the child whose record is in question. I would think they are just asking for you to self-reveal if you ever had any disciplinary action at your undergrad, such as discipline for school conduct violations (cheating would be the one they would be looking most for).

There are several other threads related to this, but I think you are safe to leave it off. I would also contact your boarding school and ask them how they release records to confirm that they won't be releasing it to a potential employer, and definitely shouldn't without your permission. That article (not sure how accurate it is) seems to say that it is illegal to release it without a written request, and you should be notified.
