So... what do I do?
Just started college, and planning on entering IB as a stepping stone to hedge fund.
I have no skills in finance. A few years of work experience in a restaurant. How do a secure my first internship? Do I just cold email people and apply to freshman internships summer with no experience? I don't understand this process but I've heard that it's competitive this year from my seniors.
I joined my school's finance related clubs. Currently learning financial accounting on random free courses online and youtube.
I feel so lost and excited at the same time. Got any advice/free resources? Thanks in advance!
First off I would go outside and touch grass. Other than that just network and talk to upperclassmen/alumni. You are only a freshman.
Currently networking and lifting some weights. Still worried about how competitive it is this year though.
You’re a freshman you don’t really have competition. It’s not like you’re gonna be interning at a BB.
