Hi, recently due to covid, a hedge fund I was going to intern at sophomore summer cancelled their program, because the firm refused to do remote working environment.
However, prior to receiving this notice, I signed a summer offer for junior summer at an EB with my resume listing the sophomore internship as incoming. Should I email HR or should I just wait until they ask me to submit a revised resume? Also would this impact my offer? I changed workplaces and am instead doing academic research.

Similar situation, my sophomore got canceled after signing my junior year.

I was recruiting for sophomore and junior at the same time, so it wasn't on my resume and I don't need to tell HR
But since it got canceled I'm wondering if not having an internship sophomore summer on my resume looks bad later down the line, or if I'm overthinking it
