Spring programs recruiting process
Hi everyone, I’m an incoming first year student at Bocconi university and I have recently heard about these spring internships that banks offer in London. Since I have literally zero work experience I have no idea how I should move in order to secure an offer so I would appreciate if someone could shed some light on the recruiting process. Thanks in advance
Apply early and come across as likable. No one really cares about relevant work experience at this stage but having some work experience at a restaurant or volunteering is important alongside extracurriculars.
Also they're insight events, when I recruited I was told during my springs that kids that came across as too keen/obsessed with a lifelong career in finance were cut during interviews/hirevues. Just be normal and demonstrate an interest in finance whilst maintaining that you have other things in your life that make you interesting.
I also want to point out that I’m not an English native speaker and even though I would consider myself fluent I’m worried that for such a competitive role a bad accent and some grammar mistakes would make the difference.
Are they snobby about language stuff or they just don’t care ?
