Spring week for 2 consecutive years
Hey there,
I am currently on my first year of a BEng course which is 3 years and have applied to spring weeks, but I am very likely to change my degree to a 4 year MEng course very soon.
Would it be strange if I accept an offer this year for Springs and re-apply to another Spring intern next year?
Much appreciated!
A little but its not unheard of. Higher EV move would be to do the summer in your second year, and then switch to MEng. 1 spring and a summer is way better than 2 springs.
So is it the norm to do 2 summers for a 4 year degree? Because from what I’ve heard summers usually convert to full time right after.
Sounds more like a good failsafe he is recommending; what are your reasons to change your degree to a 4 year Master's?
If you failed to convert the summer, you've got another year to recruit by extending. If you convert the summer, you're in the job.
