I've been second rounded for a couple of BB firms, and I really want to land a gig as a SA. questions for any experienced S&T interviewer: whats the worst thing you've seen an interviewee do? whats a common trap interviewee's fall into?

Not standing out in a good way. Thats really the one common denominator.
I'm not in S&T but for interviews in general, the two most common things I see are:
Nervousness / lack of confidence: easy way to avoid this is know your story, why you want to be there, do mock interviews, etc.
Lack of enthusiasm / presence: Probably related to derivstrading's comment.
Have to be high energy and show a passion for the markets.
