Steps To Go Into IB Out Of College?

I recently graduated from a non-ivy target school but was only there for the last 2 years and most of my WE was research related in my major economics as well as some marketing.

I know how competitive it is and that I am starting off behind most of my classmates but looking at the long-term, what would be a plan of action to break into IB?

Not trying to go back to school for a few years but not sure if getting a different finance-related job and trying to switch to IB is best or finding a regional boutique or just seeing what I could do through networking.

Any advice or thoughts would be appreciated

Thanks
