cakepieI've applied probably 600-700 times via online black holes and have been soundly rejected each time.

So you are well aware that these are black holes yet you still spent the time and effort to apply to 700 of them? That doesn't make much sense now does it?

It seems like that against the odds you were able to pull a somewhat decent internship with a name brand bank for this summer. Sure its not FO IBD but its not the end of the world... you should be happy about that and take a little breather from worrying about what you're going to do in 1.5 years down the road when you graduate.

A few questions ...

1) Are you currently a junior? 2) You mentioned other relevant internships, can you provide more detail? 3) What is the specific role/group and location for your BB MO SA position? 4) Have you considered an MSF? 5) What is your number one goal post-graduation? IBD, S&T, AM, ER, Corp Fin, Big 4, other?

"non-target curse"

You do realize most of the people here are from non-targets. By the way, an MO FT BB gig doesn't seem too bad, if you work hard you could eventually internally transfer.

Take the GMAT over the GRE for MSF programs. If you have a 4.0 and good experience, as long as you score a 650+ on the GMAT, you are a lock for the top MSF programs.
