Suit for recruiter meeting?

I spoke with a recruiter on the phone and everything went well. He wants me to come in so he can meet me first before sending my info along to this one particular company. We don't even have a time set up yet, just a "hey I'll call you on Tuesday and we'll have you come down." Normally, I'm pretty pro-suit but it just doesn't feel right in this situation. The guy isn't even wearing a suit himself on his webpage bio pic. Plus the prestige level of recruiter and job appear to be low to average (not talking goldman type stuff here).

So then, shall I go with gut and keep it business casual or do I bring out the suit? Thanks.

No. Wear a suit always. If you're angling for any sort of finance (Wall St or corporate), consulting, or any professional job always wear a suit unless they specifically say to come business casual or otherwise. It never hurts being overdressed in a suit but can kill you if you aren't, especially at more entry level jobs. We interviewed a 50+ year old for a porfolio CFO position who came in dress slacks and a sports coat and he could get away with it but he had previously been a divisional CFO for a F10 company who controlled a balance sheet and p&L in the tens of billions. He could do it.

Unless you're going for tech or some sort of creative job. Then a suit can definitely hurt.
