Summer 2019 Sophomore Internship

Hey all,

I was hoping I could receive some advice regarding potential internships for the Summer of 2019 for Sophomores. I'm pretty open regarding what section of Finance it would be in, and just want to try and get some more experience. This Summer, I'm interning at a local and tiny WM firm in my hometown (only 2 others work there). I know Junior year summer is the most important for landing IB, but was wanting to get some advice on potential options to pursue this upcoming Summer.

Just some quick background on myself is I'm transferring from a Semi-Target in Texas to another Semi-Target in NC. I play basketball, which was a significant reason for the move and I hope to use that to build some connections once I get to my new school. My GPA at the semi-target was a 3.8, and I made some pretty good connections within the world of PE at my old school. But, most of them informed me they don't take college interns.

Thanks again for any help anyone provides on potential routes to go for a summer internship.

Look at the ten most successful Wall Street alumni from your school and see what they did their soph yr. If you see a pattern go after it.
