Summer internship

Hello guys, 

I've spent way too much time applying to a bunch of different jobs in finance, including jobs in corporate banking, capital markets and asset management and private equity firms, covering a vast variety of different firms, from bulge brackets and large boutiques to software development companies or local asset managers. Most investment banking or private equity (analyst) positions for the summer have been filled, which makes my position rather difficult. I would like to know what type of firms in such fields are still interested in recruiting interns for summer internship positions, with a possibility of extending their offer to a full time position post-graduation. I'm looking into any type of bank, large bank, middle market, boutique, and any type of firm, from asset manager to stock broker to venture capital. I'm seeking for firms in Boston, London and New York.
