Summer Internship search

Hey, Guys

Now this might sound really stupid or dumb, but trust i have done everything that I can to make sure that it won't come to this day. Now, I am in undergrad and its my first year, the reason why I'm writing is because I'm trying to look for a summer internships after my freshman year and I can't find shit. Being in Canada is not best part of getting internships when most of the people I know are having trouble getting jobs. I live in Toronto, trying to get something this summer that might be related to finance. Speaking to upper years ad how they got in was mostly useless as they simply applied online and were "lucky" to have it. Being frustrated enough I went to ever single bank that would have an students section where I might have some luck finding something, only to come up with more hurdles as the internships are meant for people closer to the end of study. Any advice on how could I get a summer internship at a bank or a boutique firm in Canada?

relax. you're a freshman. Try your career center and reaching out to local boutiques. Cast a wide net. anything remotely relevant is good enough for your first year internship
