switching groups/banks FT
Current SA at BofA/MS/JPM interested in possibly switching groups from FIG or switching to another FIG group at a different bank.
I like the sector (interested in Fintech which is why I chose FIG) but have realized that exits all seem to be pretty niche from my group. I'm not a fan of the culture and it's almost all pitching.
Would I be risking my FT offer to try and switch to a different group in the bank? Should I wait for a return offer to make my preferences known?
I've also heard that gs fig is one of the top groups on the street in terms of mf exits and even generalist mf exits. Is it really a considerable step up from an MS/JPM/BofA FIG to GS?
In this environment, worry about a return first.
You'll have almost no shot at GS for full time. I don't think they hired more than 5 people externally for IB FT last year in NY.
are you interested in FIG PE? if you are there’s no incentive to switch imo
