Tech IB - NYC or Silicon Valley ?

Hello,
If I want to be in a top Tech group, which office is better - NYC or Menlo?
What's the differences between working in each of this offices?

Also, would appreciate any good resources in order to prepare for interview and build acumen specifically for Tech IB.

Kind regards.

SV for better exits to vc and top west coast tech buyout like thoma, francisco etc. new york for traditional tech coverage at umm/mf pe (i’d imagine)

its certainly not impossible, people definitely do it all the time. Just think it's a bit easier to recruit in your region (you can network / brush shoulders with people more easily + slightly more established pipelines). Insofar as quality of living. I mean people can go back and forth about this. NYC is NYC. SF is SF. They both have a lot to offer.
