Thinking about taking an offer for an in-house valuation role.

Hello,
Currently in Wealth Asset Management audit at a Big Four firm, and looking to pursue a career in finance.

I interviewed at this PE fund of fund for a valuation analyst role, which has me thinking about long-term exit opportunities. Also, I was chosen to participate in the FDD rotation this past summer, but due to market conditions, they aren't bringing any rotators over for who knows how long. I'm considering leaving at this point to get out of audit. Landing a valuation role will get me some modeling experience and out of the audit industry. If anyone has any thoughts if I should wait to hear what FDD says or if I should continue to pursue valuation roles? Still determining if exit ops will be limited to an in-house valuation role. Thanks
