Tips on getting into the industry?

I graduated in December with a 3.8 gpa, have had an internship as a junior equity portfolio manager, and feel like I am a well rounded professional overall. But after applying to hundreds of positions in both IB and PE I have gotten zero interviews. Anyone know why?? I refuse to give up but damn its starting to weigh on me. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

Which start date are you contemplating? If it's this summer, all the analysts have been hired from last fall. You'll need to try for next cycle, so I'd look for accounting, valuation, and other finance related spots to give you some work experience before trying to come in next year (summer 2023). Some regional boutiques may have openings, but I'm guessing their spots are filled too. Additionally, almost all PE shops don't hire straight out of undergrad, so I wouldn't spend too much effort on them

Email people directly. Applying through websites had such a low hit rate for me especially if you don’t come from any kind of diversity or anything. However, after pulling MDs emails from websites and such id always get responses for an intro call. The bank I work for now said they weren’t hiring, then I emailed the MD and got an offer a month later. Be direct. Be personable. Fuck website applications.

There is also consulting.
