Tips on securing super day after hirevue/first round

Assuming a selective hirevue first round goes well, are there any tips on securing a super day afterwards. The hirevue questions are very generic and it seems to me its more about not getting them wrong vs giving the most breathtaking answer (especially if they ask why IB, why x bank etc).

Does networking after you submit a hirevue/first round help push you to a superday. If you had a contact who vouched for you (alumni I cold called not like a close friend), is it a good idea to update them on your application process?

Any tips would be great
