rothymanIf you've been looking for 2 years with no luck then you obviously do not want it that bad.

I've been searching for 2 months with a 3.0/non-target/no IB or research exp and have landed 3 interviews with BBs/Boutiques. It's all about effort.. not always about the resume brother.

Are you calling him "brother" because he went to Howard? Racist!

Haha SB'ed, brother.

You started looking for a Finance job in 2009 when no one was hiring. You started looking for a Finance job after doing a J.D. This will puzzle recruiters. Now you have to explain the 2 year gap in your resume. One of my friends did J.D. from Ohio State. Couldn't get a law job even after passing the bar exam. Ended up working as floor manager at Macy's for $60 K per year. Now the collection agencies are calling her up daily and telling her that her $140 K student loan which she had when she completed J.D. has grown to $270 K. They cannot garnish her wages because she has two kids. But they start taking 25% of the salary as soon as you get a decent job. In the meantime, they just increase the interest rate to 13% and add all kinds of penalties to increase the amount owed. Cannot be discharged in a bankruptcy.
