Transfer to Cornell Dyson from NYU Stern?

Hey all!

I was recently fortunate enough to be accepted to Cornell Dyson from nyu stern. I have a good gpa here and involved in a few clubs, but not really in any finance clubs or business frats. My only concern leaving NYU would be the connections or grades I've already gotten here and essentially restarting at Cornell. Also, I'm not too sure if any differences in recruiting between the two should affect my decision.

I also really value a tight-knit community and it seems like Dyson has that (with a pretty small class size of around 200). The location also seems great in Ithaca and I have all my life to live in NYC. Most of Stern also seems obsessed with IB and finance, but I'd like a more well-rounded student body. In other words, Cornell Dyson seems chiller. I need to make this decision quite soon, so any help would be appreciated!

Planning to do IB, but I’m open to anything.

I haven’t received a financial aid offer yet, but I’m pretty much paying full tuition at nyu. I don’t consider a cost a huge factor, but if cornell is significantly cheaper I’d probably go there.

Thanks in advance

There’s nothing concrete here about why you want to transfer or stay…

A “tighter knit community” is just rhetoric and nothing will change unless you specifically can say “that school / community does these things that my school does not”

If you don’t know if you want to do finance, transfer. Also isn’t nyu one of the most expensive schools in the nation ?
