Trying to Break Back Into Finance- Currently in FinTech BizDev and Operations

Hi all,

Some background- I originally started my career at a BB working in the large cap credit space, mainly underwriting multi billion dollar revolving credit facilities.

I switched over to FinTech after a year of working as I was offered a pretty generous compensation package, and the opportunity to help build out a team at a pretty small startup. Now a few years later the cracks are starting to show in FinTech, and I really just want to get back to work in Finance.

I am having an extremely hard time breaking back in though. I have had interviews and conversations that often get a few rounds in but I seem to always be beaten out or not given an offer. Does anyone have any tips for breaking back in from FinTech with previous finance experience?

EDIT: Adding some additional color- I primarily would be looking to break either into credit / fixed income asset management or an IB or restructuring role.
