Two Offers - MM PE Sponsor or Credit Asset Management?
I have two offers on the table... one from a Private Equity Sponsor, one from a Credit Asset Management group. Both offers are 3rd year analyst slots in a credit role. The Private Equity Sponsor job is obviously on a deal team, the Asset Management role is in a credit research capacity working with retail and separately managed bank loan funds. Any advice? Pay before any negotiation is $85+30ish% with an associate bump after 8 months at the Sponsor and $85+40-60% at the Asset Manager. The Sponsor role has typical banking step ups, with pay increases. The Asset Manager has a much more flat hierarchy and pay scale. Does anyone have any advice or opinions on which might be a better career move?
