Unconventional opportunities for finance majors?

About me: Target school finance major; 3.8+GPA; currently interning at a capital advisory firm

I'm very lost right now, but in a good way I guess. Originally, I was recruiting for IB like everybody else at my school but after COVID made me get away from campus for a while I'm starting to realize I don't really have a passion for IB. Maybe it was a lack of peer pressure IDK but I just lost interest and subsequently slacked off on recruiting/networking. Also, job market is still tough so even if I pulled a bunch of motivation out of my ass it's still probably long odds to get a good offer.

I did get a couple of interviews for PE shops and after researching more about that space, the work there seems genuinely interesting to me. I'm going to try my best to recruit and see if I can get a SA gig at a firm but then again PE undergrad recruiting is still competitive and there's a good chance it won't work out.

Right now I feel a lot more open to different opportunities and even paths outside of finance. I'm young, I'm in the middle of college, and I have a good GPA. There's a world of different possibilities out there and I don't want to limit myself to just IB. I'm curious to hear from you guys if you know of any rewarding, outside-of-box career paths for a finance major like me.

Any advice/suggestions are welcome.

You want to unconventionally explore outside of finance majors?
