Uni degree for further career development?

Hello everyone, I'm fairly new to WSO and have already read some interesting things here. At the moment I'm not sure about my future career path and would therefore appreciate any help.

My situation: I recently turned 18 and graduated from high school (economical high school) last month. I need to do an internship to fully graduate from this school. I currently have an internship that starts in September. This is an banking-entry internship (only offered in Switzerland and the UK, if I'm not mistaken) at a major bank in Switzerland.

In this internship I will see three different areas in 1.5 years: Private Clients Basic (bank counter and walk-in clients), Private Clients Individual ("normal" clients) and lastly some kind of desired assignment (usually in Wealth Management, but if you perform well in the previous assignments you can choose the area). After the internship, I can start a trainee programme in a department of my choice, which will last 2.5 years and will get me a permanent job.

Once I "grow up", I would like to work in an investing role at e.g. in an asset management company or a bank or similar.

My question: Would completing a university degree be a good move for my career goal? However, I would have to choose from three options: I can either go on a dual study programme and continue to work at the bank, but only at a „Fachhochschule“ (university where you get a degree and everything, but which isn’t as „prestigious“ as a normal uni), or I can go to a „Fachhochschule“ full-time, or I can go to university (for this, however, I have to complete another year of a "Passarelle"). I myself think that studying would be a good idea, but the time it would take is very long (three years excluding this "Passarelle" programme).

As I said, I would appreciate any help and food for thought, but any tips for my internship would also be greatly appreciated and helpful.

Thank you in advance for your support
