Very delayed start to the IB journey

Hi everyone,

I am currently a junior at the best public college in the northeast region. I transferred here after completing my first 2 years at a community college (graduated with a 4.0 GPA and multiple extracurriculars). At my new college, I have completed my first semester and have maintained a perfect GPA here as well.

However, I do not have any work experience (because I didn't have work authorization in the US earlier). Since this is sorted out now, I know I am very delayed into this IB journey, what advice would you have?

The recruting season is over for IB summer 2022 (which is basically my last summer before graduation). What should I do? I am a very hard-working and determined person. I have networked with a few alums too but I am very lost.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks, fam!

Take an extra semester. This will allow you to recruit as a sophomore in the spring. Most recruiting for IB has wrapped up other than a few boutiques, so I think taking an extra semester gives you the best shot at landing a SA 2023 offer.

I was actually considering that! I see that you are an IB intern, can I reach out to you directly, if you're comfortable? Also, one of my friends recommended me this Wall street live zoom sessions which cost $2000, I'm not sure if it is even worth it...
