Very odd situation

Hi all,

Through networking I got a meeting with a Head of Legal with a bank. He liked me and promised to set up meetings with colleagues who are from the business side. I expected nothing. Three weeks later I had meetings scheduled with the CEO, COO and one other board member on their request. Went well.. COO asked me for a follow up meeting. Did the meeting, went well, discussed roles, salary. He said needs to talk to the team (=the other board members) and will call in a few days (asked me for my mobile number). Now it is 2 weeks ago and nothing. Called his assistant to set up call, she said would come back, nothing again. Any idea what that all means??

Note: I have MBB background (6 years), and it is a mid-sized retail bank for restructuring I was talking to

Wrote e-mail to assistant yesterday and then called today, she said she did not talk to him (=COO) but it is on her to do list. She sounded weird (=afraid) when she picked up
