wall street study groups worthwhile?

I originally posted this in the trading forum, but I think it probably makes more sense here...

Hi all,

I'm new to the site, so thanks in advance for your help. I'm a sophomore at GW looking to get into Ibanking or S&T. We're not a target school but there are actually a couple of seniors that got jobs on wall street. The seniors that got jobs in finance started a club to talk about the markets every week, and I wanted to know if people here thought it was worth the time. They post all their stuff at wallstreetstudygroups.com (the wrap-ups section are kind of like what they talk about in the meetings). The meetings last a pretty long time so I don't want to waste my time if it's not worthwhile information.

Thanks.

For sure, sounds like a great opportunity to learn as well as do a little Networking. I would assume that since you are in DC you should network/try to get internships or exposure at some A&D groups. PM me if you have questions
