Want to become a quant analyst

I have background in engineering (civil engineering though), a degree in construction management and am pursuing MBA from the University of Michigan. I do not have a computer science/coding background. Will be taking classes in my MBA which will help me out with basic programming in python and query language for decision making. I have CFA level 1 to my name and am working hard towards getting a charter.

I plan on acquiring coding skills/data science courses alongside. I would have the skills however, not an official degree to back my skills, a degree that is typically required off a quant analyst.

How do I break into quant analyst roles? Would I even be able to?
