At a BB for IB summer analyst, was told my specific group wants to give FT but may not be given approval due to market circumstances. Anyone have insight on best recruiting for FT next year?

Start networking. Reach out to everyone you connected with during SA, get them on the phone. Don't tell them you're not getting a FT offer, just say thinking of a move for FT and wanted to reach back out.
Go back to everyone and make sure you're on every radar you can be on, but don't put all of your eggs in the BB/EB basket. Might have to be okay with MM and boutique unless your network is amazing or you have a truly exceptional resume. FT recruiting is a shit show even in the best of years.

I am from a semi-target with a pretty great resume in my opinion which is the hard part about having to start process again. Considering my mid-internship review was exceeds expectations.
