What are my optionns?

Hello, I need a little guidance on what I should do next regarding my current situation. I am looking for an entry level credit analyst role at a commercial bank, or a analyst role at a CRA. I've been looking the last couple of weeks (on indeed, career monster, commercial bank websites) and I've come to realize that there aren't that many openings out there. I am not sure how some people are applying to hundred of jobs a week because I can't even find that many positions. Also, I haven't received any phone calls for the ones that I've applied to (about 20 different roles, one for each institution).

Am I looking at the wrong time? Or is there something wrong with my resume? I graduated from a SUNY, with a 3.1 GPA. I have about 2 years of experience in a data analyst position (reading financial documents and entering data into the system) for a financial data vendor dealing with fixed income securities, and I recently passed L1 of the CFA program..

Should I boost my resume by signing up for the BIWS course, or should I just sign up for CFA level 2 and continue to study/ apply? I've tried networking but its not really my cup of tea. Thanks for reading. Any advice on what I should do will be greatly appreciated.
