Hi everyone, background: I majored in International Business (Biz. Admin) in a non-target school in Taipei. I found out that I wanted to join investment banking pretty late (Junior year) and so I don't have any relevant experience to IB.
My question(s): Is joining a local credit ratings agency (there are only 2 from where I come from) as a junior credit analyst for 2 years and getting a MSc.Finance afterwards viable for me to break into IB (ECM in particular) upon finishing grad school? Is experience in credit rating agencies relevant to investment banking? What counts as relevant IB equity analyst experience? Otherwise, where should I start job-wise as a fresh-grad? I would really appreciate all the help I can get...
