Not necessarily.

Since summer internships are typically only 8-10 weeks, it's crucial that you are in attendance for the duration of the internship. You can be sure that many of the other interns will be showing up on time. Your goal should be obtaining an offer, so there's no reason to put yourself at an immediate disadvantage.

OP -- see what you can do from the University side of things. As ProspectiveMonkey mentioned, try to take your final exams a week earlier. Sure, you'll be less prepared, but studying earlier should counteract that.
