What options do I have left?(2nd year student in UK)

Hey guys,

I am a 2nd year economics student studying economics at a target university in the UK. Due to extenuating circumstances, I was unable to apply to BB 2018 internships early this. I applied quite late and the situation is looking rather dim.

My question is - what options do I have? I am looking for an S&T or AM internship, but I am open to IBD internships in some other banks. Is there some hope for me to try and apply in Canada or maybe even US? If not, my plan is to maybe find a consulting internship or an accoounting advisory internship and just reapply next year for a graduate program at the BBs.

What do you guys think?
