What to do once you’ve placed?

Was wondering what you guys did in between the time you signed your SA offer and when your internship begin.

Recently signed with a BB for SA 2023. I feel pretty bored now…basically went from 12+ months of grinding technicals, networking, securing smaller internship positions, etc to get an offer. Obviously it feels awesome knowing that I’ve placed at the bank I wanted to and that recruiting is over with. But now I’m feeling a little empty.

I’ll obviously be able to devote more time to school over the next year. But other than that, kind of looking to pick up a new hobby or find something that is really fulfilling.

What did you guys do to fill the time in between you signing and actually interning? It’s a longggg time until June 2023 when I start my SA.

Finding ways to stay involved in school or other hobbies is huge. Join leadership positions in clubs, find ways to give back to younger students, etc.

After I got my offer I started taking more weekend trips to visit family, found time to date around a bit, and devoted more times to clubs. Obviously, optimize for lifestyle and don’t burn out, but find ways to keep semi-busy before SA. Congrats and good luck!

Jerk off and watch the NBA playoffs. Can worry about networking for group placement in like 9 months lol
