Where do people find "top jobs"?
How can you tell if a job is a "top job"? If you go on sites like Indeed, they have all sorts of jobs. How can one tell the difference between a bad, mediocre and top job?
You probably want to try and get as specific as possible as to where you search.
I.e if you want to get into research in a hedge fund if you find a head hunter who specialises in that you're going to get the best quality jobs compared to a job board that has all types of jobs.
When you get more generic its a lot harder to weed out the good jobs. I think a few good recruiters use the job sites, but you're probably better off finding a recruiter and beginning to build a relationship which may help you find the better job in your field.

While I hesitate to answer mostly because of how Quora-y this question is, I would say cross-referencing glassdoor and indeed is a pretty good place to start. I see a top job as one where they respect your time and talent, and would probably reflect well on a GD score. Of course there are many great shops without profiles or much info on the web, so those huge job sites will only get you so much mileage. Just talk to people and see what is top for you.

Read up on the different types of jobs, figure out what your chances for each are, and take it from there. The formal recruiting cycles is heating up, so you kind of posted at a good time.
