Where to find people to cold-email?

I know this might seem like a dumb question but I always read on this forum that people sent out hundreds of cold emails. Where do you find all these hundreds of people? On their websites (CBRE, JLL, etc) you only find like their CEOs and Chairmans email addresses. Any idea where I can find the contact information for their other employees such as analysts, associates, VPs, etc. I have been trying to find people on LinkedIn but a lot of their info is locked. I would love any help or information on this.

Thanks

Company email addresses all follow the same format for example if John Smith at JLL's email is [email protected] then Bob Jones at JLL's email is going to be [email protected]

You just need to know one person's email at a company to know anybody's email at said company

And if you can't find a single persons email address online you can typically guess the format usually some combination of first name.last name/first initial last name/first initial.last name/etc....

  • “People” section of your University’s Alumni LinkedIn page
  • ctrl-f key words (Analyst, Associate, VP, etc.)
  • enter information on excel (name, title, company, email)
  • find emails via rocket reach & mailtester
  • mail merge

You can download scripts online that will auto-attach files (in this case your resume) to a mail merge on outlook. Some google searching will lead you to these scripts and how to use them.

Be careful not to screw-up the mail merge by adding spaces before names or doing other things to make your emails read like a mad-libs.

Happy hunting!
