Where to find Private Equity Summer Analsyt Postings?

It seems like most of the Private equity analyst programs are nearly impossible to apply to if you go to a non target(KKR, Warburg Pincus, General Atlantic, Silver Lake, etc.)

Does anyone have any idea on how to apply to these programs? Does networking help?

I've gotten far into buy side recruitment processes for peer firms but the gatekeeping of application portals makes it tough to apply to many of the summer analyst programs.

TLDR : Competitive applicant from non-target(we do exist) that wants to apply to Private equity analyst programs

Honestly, I've found that the supermajority of PE SA stints are at smaller shops that come from students just cold-emailing and networking...

This is how I and all my friends from college got PE internships, from a non-target.

Some yes and some no. My internship, as most PE internships are, was pretty unstructured. I interned the summer after my sophomore year, but was told the door was open for returning as a junior SA and potentially even receiving a return offer. I had an offer at a VC fund that worked the same way too, but turned it down. Just pound the pavement hard and send out armies of cold emails (ask for a phone call to discuss their background, firm, etc.) and your internship will come.
