Where to go from here - Junior 2 at non-core

Hello,

I am a junior at a non target state university and have an interest in finance. My father is a consultant and I always believed that consulting would also be where my passions lay. But recently having become more well versed in finance and understanding various players and their roles, I am very interested in investment banking and working on deals. I've read around the forums and realized that my options are very limited now entering into the recruitment process for SA positions so late in the game.

I was wondering if I could receive some advice on moving forward and landing an SA position for this summer or working a different division and leveraging as best as I can during FT recruiting next year.

Also is there a way to reach out to potential mentors that are looking to guide aspiring professionals? If you are willing to speak or offer some advice please let me know.

My game plan right now is trying to get my resume in the hands of as many people as I can. But a majority of firms have already told me that their sa classes are full.

Thank you.
