Why can't I even get an interview?

To preface, I just graduated from a state school in May with a B.S. in Finance, My overall GPA wasn't the greatest (3.3's) because in my freshman year I was majoring in International Business and I was terrible at German, so I changed to finance and found out I am really good at numbers and loved all of it.

I got A's in every finance course, ended up becoming the president of our finance club for 3 years straight (even got a plaque from the university for being the longest standing president of a university-sponsored organization ever, apparently), did tons of case studies and research projects and placed 3rd nationally in the CSBS annual case study competition, and even led a consulting project with a team of 12 grad and undergrads where I helped an insurance firm incorporate AI throughout their departments, along with timelines, cost-benefit analyses, integration challenges and risk mitigation techniques, etc. I was on our equity investment fund and made my magnum opus, self-authored 76-page report on TSM and another 136-page report on XOM along with succesfull motions for purcases of 140 and 260 shares, respectively. Hell I even saved up enough money outside of paying my own tuition, rent, and getting married at 20 to get a certification from MIT xPro in Designing and Building AI Products and Services and did good enough their admissions office called me asking if I would consider more advanced curriculum with 25% of my tuition covered by them (which was a childhood dream but heartbreaking I still could not afford it).

All that to say I really love this field and want to work in either consulting or AM, but I can not get an interview to save my life. I have been applying to jobs since last August. I have applied to THOUSANDS of jobs from basic commercial credit analyst roles, which I already had a 6-month internship doing, to dream roles in AM or consulting. I have had phone calls with executives and been lucky enough to get coffee with heads of departments at EY, Deloitte, BlackRock, and other companies. Now I am considering starting my own consulting firm because my run of bad luck is at this point comedic and I just cannot catch my break yet. On top of that I may be 22 but I am married, I have bills to pay and a mother I want to be able to help financially. Do you have to have a damn MBA just to get an interview today, or hell even an email back from some of these companies?

If anyone has any advice or just words for me I am all ears. Even a joke at this point lmao, I just need to make something happen because I am becoming increasingly depressed and have even started to get gray in my beard and hair.

You'll have to hit up alumni or start in a temp/intern position to FT offer.

Yea I’ll probably need to focus on the temp/intern route especially as I’ve moved away from my home state immediately following graduating for my wife’s work and my alumni network here is pretty much null and void. It’s a bit of a bummer because the internships seem to be starting next summer and I’d At least like something here now.
