Will checking into a mental health clinic tank my chances?

Recent graduate from a semi-target state school. Left my job as an RIA because I found their practices unethical and the work was so boring (whole different topic.) I've been spending pretty much every second of my spare time trying to get a job in Equity Research, but I have not even gotten an interview from anywhere. I know this process can take awhile, but I feel like I'm going to run out of gas at some point. I can't stop thinking about death, and have considered checking myself into a mental health institution. However, if I do get this mental health hiccup taken care of, I am worried this will put a big blot on my status as a candidate with the job history gap and any sort of disability disclosures I might need to make. No point in mortgaging my future and bankrupting myself if I'm just screwed either way. I can keep going and continue seeking fruitful employment for quite awhile longer, but if checking in some place and getting help is something companies are sympathetic toward, the immediate relief from this would be quite nice.

Not looking for consolation, or pity. I am just not sure if people will see me as a broken toy if I do prioritize my mental well-being at the moment. Thanks.
