will I be looked down on for going to cornell?

current freshman at cornell. landed top club. option to go to columbia next year but would have to restart. I know columbia is more prestigious. Is it worth it to transfer? Cornell has a rep for being the worst ivy.

Yes.

Be prepared for a "tar and feathering" due to how unprestigious Cornell is.

Good luck.

This post doesn't even make sense. How do you have the option to transfer to Columbia next year?

I went to a non-ivy target, but Cornell with a top club can get you anything you want.

Yeah, sorry but you're fucked. At this point, your best option is sales at a paper firm in PA with hopes of a management position in Season 8.

Always prestigemaxx.

Hope this is a joke, if not I hope you never get into the industry working with people like this is nightmare fuel

No. My brother went to Cornell. Lots of succesful people went to Cornell. The best strategy I would think is to play to Cornell’s strengths in Hotels. I have met plenty of people (my bro included) who leveraged the Cornell strength in hospitality to get into related finance/banking roles or even just go into real estate or gasp the hospitality industry and find a lot of financial success. If you really hate it at Cornell for whatever reason then yes just transfer to Columbia. More mainstream in nyc finance. Cheers

I heard that if you network enough then you may have a shot at big 4 tax or audit

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but it's essentially over for you. Everyone will see your first year at Cornell on your transcript. Forget BB, EB, MM or IB in general, maybe could make it to non big 4 audit... long shot.
Hope this helps.
